About Art Camp

At Art Camp we work on projects in a variety of media, allowing campers to express their individuality and creativity.  We explore how this creativity can bring us closer to God while also  enjoying all the usual camp activities – camp fires, swimming, games, singing, worship, and more.  You don’t need to be a master artist, just be interested in creating, having fun and making new friends.

In 2010, we made some changes in Art Camp. We had a very successful summer and those changes will continue to be in effect in 2011. Art Camp still has all the great stuff it always has – art projects, worship, swimming, games, great people, and more. Now, however, Art Camp is one session including all ages – 9 to 15 years old. If you’ve been looking for a camp that your children can go to together, or the youth from your church can all go as a group, this is your chance. To learn more about it, check out the FAQ.

Shrine Mont is a conference and retreat center of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. In the Shenandoah Valley, Shrine Mont provides “a place apart” for its guests, complete with home-cooked Southern Dining, rustic accommodations, and all the beautiful scenery one can take in.

There are ten amazing camps offered each summer – including a camp for young adults, a camp for entire families, and everything in between. No matter how old or young you are – whether you have been an Episcopalian your whole life or are just checking out the church – if you are interested in spending some time in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with others in a safe and welcoming environment, we’ve got a spot for you!
